The Maryland Troopers Association

 

The Maryland Troopers Association was organized in 1979 for the purpose of advancing the principles of professionalism in law enforcement and to facilitate a meaningful dialogue between employees and the Administration concerning issues of mutual concern.  This Association contributes significantly to protecting the security of troopers, civilian MSP personnel and retirees by providing a benefit package that addresses legislative representation in matters of public safety, legal representation, education and training scholarships, and death relief.

The year 2017 membership of the MTA stands at approximately 2,629 of which 1,120 are active members and 1,509 are retirees.  To facilitate the effective management and participation of our members, the MTA has 13 Lodges located thoughout the State of Maryland.   Please visit our lodges section for more detailed information concerning the lodges.  
 
 

 
 To Register as a new user on the Maryland Troopers site, follow these steps: 


1. Mouse over the "Troopers Only" tab and a drop down menu will appear. 

2. Click on "Register". 

3. Fill out the information requested and submit.

4. An e-mail will be sent to your registered e-mail address to confirm that it is legitimate.

5. Follow confirmation instructions  

6. The webmaster will check your status and complete the authorization process.  

7. In the future, Click on "Log In" under the "Troopers Only" tab and use your new Username and Password whenever logging in.

  • Death Notification - Retired PCS Kevin Mack

    August 7, 2015

     

    We regret to inform you of the death of Retired PCS Kevin Mack on August 3, 2015.  Our thoughts and prayers are with the Mack family at this time.  The following obituary information has been reprinted from the Brinsfield Funeral Home website.  Friends may leave condolences at the funeral home website.  

     Kevin Joseph Mack, 61 of Mechanicsville Maryland died Monday, August 3, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
     
     He was born on January 4, 1954 in Baltimore, MD to the late William Joseph Mack and Margaret Cecilia Buckmaster Mack.
     
     Kevin married his long time, loving companion, Catherine Ann Mack in January 2014.  Together, they have celebrated many wonderful years.  He was employed as a Communications Supervisor for the Maryland State Police with 30 years of dedicated service until his retirement in 2013.  He was an avid reader, and enjoyed history and current events.  He was selfless and always took care of his coworkers, friends and family.  He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed playing jokes on people.  He was a Notre Dame fan, and regularly cheered the Fighting Irish to victory.  His family was his greatest love, especially his grandson. 
     
     In addition to his beloved wife, Kevin is also survived by his step-daughters, Amanda R. Murphy and Dana Marie Helbig, both of Oakland, MD; his grandson, Wydonis Fazenbaker, great friend Eric Strucko, nephews, cousins and extended family.  In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his sister, Dawn Martinez.
     
     All services will be private.
