Any trooper, PCO, or other MSP employee who was ever assigned, worked, wished they worked, got gas at or drove by the Waldorf/La Plata Barrack is invited to attend the 26th annual event.

TALLAHASSEE — In a dramatic defeat for the governor and the Florida Legislature, a Leon County circuit judge on Tuesday ruled that the decision last year to cut public employee salaries was an unconstitutional breach of the state's contract and ordered the money returned with interest. The ruling leaves a potential $1 billion hole in the state budget for the 2011-12 budget year and another $1 billion hole for the 2012-13 budget year. It also has a $600 million impact for counties whose employees are in the Florida Retirement System.

Carlisle Sentinel: A Troop T state police officer fatally shot a man on the Pennsylvania Turnpike near mile maker 167 in Fulton County after police say he was attacked by the man and two aggressive dogs. State police at McConnellsburg said a trooper from the Everett station responded to a two-vehicle crash on the turnpike at 8:55 p.m.
